OLI-AQUA MODU T 18.32 I One-/two-component stair lacquer

The product

OLI-AQUAMODU T 18.32 I 1K / 2K Staircoat is a modern and fast-drying water lacquer system for the abrasion-resistant coating of stairs, wooden railings and handrails. It is characterised by its very good grain accentuation, elegant pore design and light fastness. Due to its flow behavior it is suitable for the coating of suspended parts. It is also very well suited for the overcoating of the MODU B / color shade varnish series. Optionally the MODU T can be processed with Hardener 13.5. As a result, the chemical and mechanical resistances are significantly increased.

Surface preparation:

  • Graded wood sanding with grit 150/180. The finer the sanding, the lesser the wood roughens.
  • The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free of oil, wax, grease, silicon and sanding dust.
  • Woods rich in resin and active substances such as pine or tropical woods (limba, teak, wenge) should preferably be insulated with a two-component lacquer (e.g. OLI-AQUA MODU M 18.30) before overcoating. This also applies to MDF edges and profiles, to minimize wood swelling in conditions of high humidity.

Setup recommendations:

  • Apply a priming coat with approx. 80-140 g/sqm
  • After 2 h drying, intermediate sanding with grit 240/280
  • Top coat with approx. 80-140 g/sqm
