Owing to a particularly diffusion proof and elastic binder, our OLI-AQUA 15.88 | 1c Insulating filler guarantees the dimensional stability of MDF boards remarkably better than common hydro insulating fillers. The binder enhances the resistance against water vapor and minimizes the risk of subsequent fissures in the finish at high MDF edges and deeply milled profiles as well as on tannic woods, even under critical climatic conditions like in wetrooms. These properties are highly valued by manufacturers of first-class interior doors. “In this field of application, our water-based insulating filler has quickly gained reputation. It is also very popular in the furniture and baseboard industry,” states Dr. Bernd Eitner, head of the Oli Lacke R&D department.

Two-in-one: insulating and filling

The ready-to-use pigmented insulating filler can be processed by all common spraying or pouring machines as well as by manual spraying. The material insulates and fills the workpiece in one step; it is easily sandable and suitable for forced-air drying. OLI-AQUA 15.88 has an excellent bonding, even to delicate substrates, and can be applied on primer foils, MDF or veneers. Due to its stability, it allows for high coat thicknesses after only a short “pre-spraying” – even at MDF edges of up to 50 mm thickness, and without sagging. For the top coat, we offer physically and UV drying water-based spray lacquers.
