The product
OLI-AQUA ECO M 18.27 | 1K multilayer lacquer is a very fast stacking 1K water lacquer with a nice grain accentuation for the serial spray painting of flat furniture and wood components throughout the interior. The material is suitable for spraying automats, can be sanded easily, forced drying and IR drying are both possible. It´s fat and perspiration resistant as well as PVC-resistant. The entire ECO series convinces with high chemical and mechanical resistance and fulfills IKEA MAT-0066 P1, R2 and R4 required by IKEA for residential and office furniture. Surface preparation:
- Graduated wooden sanding with grit size 150/180. The finer the sanding, the smoother the wood becomes.
- The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned, and free of oil, wax, grease, silicon and sanding dust.
- Woods rich in resin and active substances such as pine, tropical woods (limba, teak, wenge) should be stripped before being coated with a 2K lacquer (e.g. OLI-AQUA MODU M). This also applies to MDF edges and sections, to minimise the chance of swelling in high humidity conditions.
Setup recommendations:
- Apply a priming coat with approx. 80 g/sqm
- After 3,5 h drying, intermediate sanding with grit 240
- Top coat with approx. 120 g/sqm
